Tile & Flooring in Summit County

Tile installation and laminate flooring — showers, floors, fireplaces and backsplashes, set straight — in Silverthorne and all around it.

Tile does not forgive. A layout that starts an eighth of an inch off is a wall that looks wrong forever, which is why our in-progress photos look the way they do: spacers in every joint, level lines snapped before the first piece is set, a herringbone marble shower pan left to cure before anyone steps near it. We install tile in showers, on floors, around fireplaces and along backsplashes, and we lay laminate flooring through whole homes and condos, across Silverthorne, Dillon, Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone, Winter Park and Granby. If you can describe the pattern — hexagon, herringbone, vertical stack, pebble — we have probably already set it. Free quote in English or Spanish.

What's included

Mountain buildings are hard on floors and honest about shortcuts. Laminate has to acclimate to the dry air and the altitude before it goes down, and it needs its expansion gaps respected, or the first winter of forced heat will find every corner that was rushed. Tile needs a flat substrate, full mortar coverage and grout that can take freeze-thaw entries and ski-boot traffic — especially in rentals, where a floor lives harder in one season than most homes do in five years. We plan the layout before mixing anything: where the pattern centers, where the cuts land, how the tile meets the laminate at the doorway. A slate fireplace surround, a blue-niche shower, a hexagon floor — the photos on this page are the method, mid-job.

Tile & Flooring by city

The high country is not one market — a Breckenridge ski condo, a Silverthorne family home and a Granby ranch house are three different remodels, with three different winters.

Common questions

Is laminate a good choice for a mountain home?
Yes, when it is installed for this climate — acclimated first, expansion gaps kept, transitions done right. It stands up to boots, dogs and renters; the dry winter air is what the installation has to respect.
Why do some of your photos show unfinished work?
Because mid-job is where tile quality is visible — spacers, level lines and clean mortar work all disappear behind the finished wall. We photograph the part you would otherwise have to take on faith.
Do you take small jobs, like a single backsplash?
Yes — a backsplash, a fireplace surround or one bathroom floor gets the same layout and level lines as a whole house, and the quote is free either way.
